Good to know
Five minutes is a handy unit of time. It's long enough to let a cup of tea steep, do a few rounds of plank holds, stretch away from your desk, or give a class a warm-up question before the main lesson. It also works as a nudge for jobs you've been putting off: commit to just five minutes, and you're allowed to stop when the alarm goes off.
The countdown keeps going if you switch tabs, and the tab title shows the time left, so you can glance at it while you do something else. Need a different length? Change the minutes or tap another "Quick start" time, and adjust the sound and volume under "Alarm sound".
Questions and answers
How do I start the 5-minute timer?
Click "Start". The timer is already set to 5 minutes, so there's nothing else to enter.
Can I pause the countdown?

What happens if I close the tab?
